New Platonic was my second solo exhibition, exhibited at NG Art Gallery, Sydney in December 2012.
The starting point of exploration for this body of work was the Platonic Solids. The whole premise of the show revolved around the use of paper only – no glue! Interlocking units were woven into geometric tapestries housed in custom wall mounted acrylic cases.
At a point in my career when I felt I had covered most of the possibilities with paper, this project opened up a door into a whole new world of exploration and revitalised my practice.
